With the colder weather in full swing I’m finding it harder to keep up with my morning smoothie routine (not to mention, cold foods in cold weather is not ideal according to Traditional Chinese Medicine principles).
Instead, I’m craving warmer, spicier foods that nourish my body from the inside-out. Enter oatmeal. Oats might seem boring & plain (not to mention higher carb for those of you eating more paleo or keto-style diets), but I assure you, they are worth a try!
I recently started consuming a fermented turmeric powder and was experimenting with how to incorporate it seamlessly into my dishes. Sometimes I succeeded, other times, not quite. However one of my successes was a yummy blend of oats, spices, and yes, turmeric. I posted about it on my Instastories and got an overwhelming response– everyone wanted the recipe!
I’m excited just thinking about tomorrow’s breakfast!
